Laboratory rules and regulations (Terms & Conditions)
Please read and comply strictly before requesting laboratory access.
1.Annual Safety Training
All laboratory users must complete the annual laboratory safety training provided by the Department of Geology before they are eligible to request laboratory access.
2.Operating Hours
The laboratory is open Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Any laboratory use outside regular operating hours requires prior approval from both the Head of the Laboratory and the Head of the Department.
3.Advance Booking
Laboratory reservations must be submitted at least one working day in advance.
The booking system will update reservation information at 8:00 AM on every working day.
4.Late Arrival, No-show, or Unauthorized Overstay
Users must access and use the laboratory according to their approved booking schedule.
Late arrival, failure to attend a scheduled booking, or remaining in the laboratory beyond the approved reservation period without permission will result in a two-week suspension of laboratory access privileges.
5.Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel a reservation, please notify the laboratory staff before 12:00 PM (noon) on the day preceding your scheduled laboratory use by calling 02-218-5447.
Failure to comply with this cancellation requirement will result in a two-week suspension of booking privileges.
6.Damage and Liability
Users are responsible for any damage to laboratory facilities, instruments, or equipment resulting from negligence or improper use.
Any associated repair or replacement costs must be covered by the responsible user in accordance with departmental regulations.
7.External Users
Individuals from outside the Department of Geology who wish to use the laboratory facilities must contact the laboratory staff in charge or email geoculab@gmail.com for further information and booking arrangements.
8.Personal Data Protection (PDPA)
Personal information collected through the laboratory booking system, including names, email addresses, telephone numbers, departments or organizations, and student identification numbers, will be used solely for laboratory booking management.
Personal data will be retained for one year from the booking date and subsequently deleted. Only anonymized booking records that cannot identify individual users will be retained for statistical analysis and system improvement.
9.Email Account and Booking Identity
All laboratory users must submit booking requests using their own email accounts and complete the booking process themselves.
Using another person's email account or asking someone else to make a reservation on your behalf is strictly prohibited under all circumstances.
This requirement ensures accurate user identification, reliable booking records, and proper verification of laboratory access and usage history.
