Petroleum Geoscience Field Trip – Saraburi

On Friday, 5th September, the MSc Petroleum Geoscience class visited abandoned limestone quarries in Saraburi area to observe the Permian Saraburi Group carbonates, which are the main gas reservoirs in the NE of Thailand. The trip was led by Professor Chris Morley, a structural geology and tectonics specialist from Chiang Mai University.
